MS Wildcats wrap up season with 40-12 victory over East Clinton
The MS Wildcats finished their season (6-2 record) with an impressive win over East Clinton 40-12. The 8th grade class finished with a 14-3 record as middle schoolers.
“This is probably the most talented group of kids I’ve had the opportunity to coach. The way they command the field is really amazing for their age. They are all very smart athletes and as a coach I know I can trust them to make adjustments on the field on their own. I will miss them but look forward to seeing them play at the next level.” Coach Peters
Dameon Williams started the game with a 65 yd TD pass to Bryce Burress on the first play from scrimmage giving the Cats a quick lead. Later, Williams added a 53 yd rushing TD. Mike Mulvihill added 2 TD’s on the ground with 69 yds rushing. Zach Musselman led all rushers with 108 yds and added 2 TD’s of his own.
Defensively, the Cats put the brakes on the East Clinton Offense forcing a 3 and out on multiple drives. Hunter Montgomery was in East Clinton’s backfield the whole game disrupting their plays on many occasions. “Overall, we finished the way we wanted to. These kids really showed up to play today.” Coach Peters

MS Football shuts out Fayetteville, rolls to 5th straight win - 10/7/2020
The MS Wildcats improve to 5-2 with an impressive win over the Fayetteville Rockets 30-0. It was a dominating Defense that led the way. The Offense had a short field most of the game and took advantage of it with TD runs of 20 yds, 6 yds, and 1 yd. Dameon Williams led the way on the ground with 81 yds. Followed by Chevy Daniels with 20 yds and a TD. Zach Musselman and Mike Mulvihill chipped in with one TD each. "These kids are impressive. They work together very well together. They practice hard and play hard from start to finish.” Coach Peters
Defensively, the Wildcats forced 2 turnovers and had an impressive goal line stand from the 5 yd line. “This 8th grade class will be one to watch in the next few years. I know Coach Mulvihill will be looking forward to seeing them again.” Coach Peters The season will wrap up next week as the Wildcats look to finish on a 6 game win streak when the East Clinton Astros come to town for the finale. MS Football wins 4th straight game, defeats Bethel Tate 46-0 9/30/2020
The MS football team roared their way to victory (46-0) with an impressive performance against Bethel Tate Wednesday night.
The Wildcats ran for almost 300 yds on the ground with 5 TD’s.
It didn’t take long for the offense to get the ball moving as Mike Mulvihill sprinted 77 yards for a TD on just the second play of the game. Zach Musselman put his stamp on the game scoring on a 46 yd run on the second drive for the Wildcats. Musselman also scored later in the game with a 43 yd TD run. Dameon Williams added a 36 yd TD run late in the second quarter and Caleb Sears put the game away with a 63 yd rush to the endzone. “It was a game to remember for these kids. They work hard in practice. We had a gameplan and they executed it perfectly.” Coach Peters. The Wildcats also took to the air with a Mulvihill to Williams 43 yd TD strike.
Defensively, the Wildcats were prepared and shut down the potent Tiger offense. Lyric Dunham added 2 INT’s. The Wildcats defensive unit controlled the line of scrimmage. Hunter Montgomery and Jagger Huston gave the Wildcats a great push up the middle while Chevy Daniels and Dameon Williams controlled the edges. “These young men have a unique bond. It really comes to light with the way they play on the field. I couldn’t be more proud of them.” Coach Peters
Up next for the Wildcats is a trip to Fayetteville to face the Rockets. With the win the Wildcats improve to 4-2 on the season.

Three in a row, MS Football defeats Williamsburg - 9/23/2020
The MS Wildcats improve to 3-2 on the year with an impressive win over Williamsburg 44-16. It was a day for big plays as the Wildcats ground game dominated the scoreboard. The Wildcat Offense rushed for over 300 yds and 5 TD’s. Chevy Daniels had an exciting 45 yd rushing TD on the first drive to give the Wildcats an early lead. Zach Musselman followed with a 55 yd TD run on the next drive. Chevy Daniels added a 65 yd TD run later in the half and Mike Mulvihill put his own mark on the game with a 45 yd TD run late in the second half.

Everyone was executing their blocking assignments well and it really showed today. It all starts with them. If they don’t have a good day neither will we. Ground game powers MS Football to victory over Clermont Northeastern - 9/16/2020
It took only one play for the Wildcats to get on the board Wednesday night as the Cats defeated CNE 40-8 improving to 2-2 on the season. Dameon Williams 65yd scamper to the endzone started the scoring as the run game was in full effect. The Cats combined for over 225yds of total Offense, most of which came on the ground. Zach Musselman added to the scoring with a 55yd run in the 2nd quarter. Mike Mulvihill contributed with 2 rushing TD’s. Dameon Williams finished the day with 84yds and 2 TD’s. The passing game was also effective as Mulvihill added 62yds and a TD to his totals for the year. Defensively, the Cats were impressive, forcing a three and out on multiple drives. The Defense controlled the line of scrimmage which gave the Offense a short field on multiple occasions. “These young men prepared all week and it showed. They are really starting to get into a rhythm on both sides of the ball. The younger guys got plenty of snaps today, which is imperative for their development. I couldn’t be more impressed by the way they played.” Coach Peters.

MS Wildcats roll Warriors to pick up their first victory of the season - 9/9/2020
After starting the season 0-2, the Blanchester MS Wildcats didn’t take long to get their offense going Wednesday night against Goshen winning 40-0. The Wildcats came out ready to play and dominated both sides of the ball. “From start to finish these boys looked great today.” Coach Peters The name of the game was the air attack. The Wildcats came out throwing and racked up 177 passing yds to 4 different receivers. “We really focused on the O Line this past week and the boys applied it today.” Coach Peters. Offensively, the Cats just dominated through the air and on the ground with over 300 yds of total offense. “Blocking up front and ball protection has really improved in the past week and that has changed the dynamic of this group of athletes.” Coach Peters Defensively, the cats shut down the Goshen offense giving up less than 100 yds and forcing 2 turnovers. As the 1st half came to a close Zach Musselman added some excitement with a 70 yd punt return for a TD. “Overall, we had many things to be happy about, but we will continue to focus on fundamentals. My goal for these boys is to prepare them for the next level. I’m very proud of them.” Coach Peters

MS Football falls to Wilmington in opener - 8/26/2020
Opening day for the Blanchester MS football team didn’t go as planned as the young Wildcats dropped the first game of the season to a tough Wilmington team 20-14. The Wildcats came out ready to play and took a 6-0 lead on a pick 6 from Zach Musselman. The Cats kept the lead until giving up a late TD in the second quarter going into halftime tied 6-6. As the second half started the Cats turned it over in their own territory and Wilmington capitalized taking a 12-6 lead. “Turnovers can kill momentum, we have got to protect the football.” Coach Peters. Offensively, the Cats came up short gaining just over 100 yds of total offense. “Blocking up front and ball protection will be our focus this week in practice. We simply need to be able to sustain a drive. We’ve got some young players and getting snaps is important to their development. We had some bright spots as a team but we just need to take it one play at a time.” Coach Peters Defensively, the cats had a rough game giving up close to 175 yds on the ground. But the Cats forced 3 turnovers which kept the game close. Late in the second half the Cats showed some signs of life as the offense pulled within 6 with a Zach Musselman 45 yd TD run. Then with just over 5 minutes to play the Wildcat defense forced a turnover giving the Cats the ball. But the Wilmington defense held as the Cats went 3 and out. “Overall we had some good things to focus on but we will to work on some fundamentals in order to be ready for Massie next week. The boys played tough, but we beat ourselves.” Coach Peters
