10/16/19 - BMS Football @ East Clinton
On a chilly night in East Clinton, the Blanchester MS Football team finished their season with a victory over the Astros 30-0. With over 200 yds of offense on the ground, the Wildcats finished the season strong. “The way this group of kids has played through all the adversity this season and still finish with a season to be proud of, shows the kind of character these kids have. They never give up and play to the final whistle. We are very proud of them and we look forward to seeing these 8th graders at the next level.” Coach Peters
Big plays and clock management was the name of the game for this one. Bryce Sipple led all rushers with 75 hard earned yards, while Chase Barnes backed him up with 64 yds on the ground. “When you watch these two play the word that comes to mind is chemistry. They play so well together and it’s easy to see why they are successful.” Coach Peters “When you have guys like Seth Perkins, who added a 44 yard sprint for a TD and had numerous open field tackles, and Ray Montgomery who is as fast as they come, it really makes the team flow and their leadership will be missed.” Coach Peters
Defensively, the Cats held the Astros scoreless. Mostly due to the secondary play of Michael Mulvhill who had 2 INT’s one for a TD. The interior D was stout and pressured the opposing QB all night. “I have mixed emotions this time every year. The kids that are moving up will be missed but the kids that are coming in are the next chapter. That’s the joy of being a coach at this level, we get to watch these kids grow and develop at the next level” Coach Peters

QB Sipple 75 rushing 1 TD 2 2pt
RB Mulvihill 14 yds rushing
Barnes 64 yds rushing 1 TD 1 2pt
