The Blanchester JV Football team won its homecoming game over Williamsburg 31-6.
The Blanchester Wildcats went into the half tied 6-6, but erupted for 25 unanswered points in the second half. The Blanchester offense rolled off 31 answered points Saturday. Blake Richard had a monster day, with four rushing touchdowns. Carter Abbott added another rushing touchdown on a quarterback sneak that broke for 43 yards. Bryan Bandow got in on the scoring by adding an extra point kick. After giving up the first score of the day to Williamsburg, the Blanchester defensive unit got to work. The Wildcats shut Williamsburg down for the remainder of the game on a great combined team effort. Blake Richard caused two fumbles and recovered a fumble. Brady Phillips caused another fumble. Troy Hedstrom also added a fumble recovery. -Coach Damewood

The Blanchester JV Football team lost to a talented Wilmington Hurricane squad 32-0 on
Saturday.
The Wildcat offense could not find the end zone, but showed bright spots on the day.
Blake Richard rushed for 89 yards on the day. Andrew Frump added another 70 yards rushing,
and snagged a long 35-yard pass from Carter Abbot.
The Wildcat defense struggled to contain the Hurricane Saturday. Hunter Bare caused a
fumble and had a fumble recovery on the day. Brady Phillips had one caused fumble. Troy
Hedstrom added the Wildcats’ final fumble recovery. -Coach Damewood

The Blanchester Wildcats’ JV Football team took on the Waynesville Spartans squad
Saturday. The Wildcats fought hard for the entire game, but came up short in the end, losing 17-12. Blake Richard had both Wildcat scores on the day. His first score came on a hard run that allowed the Wildcats to make the most of a fumbled Spartan punt snap late in the first half. Richard added his second rushing touchdown in the second half of play.
After giving up 17 points in the first half, the Wildcat defense stepped up their play. Adam Frump had a great day, with two interceptions, a caused fumble and a fumble recovery. Andrew Frump contributed two caused fumbles on the day. Gage Huston added another caused fumble. -Coach Damewood

yards. Frump also connected with Blake Richard for two passing touchdowns of 20 and 15
yards. Richard added to the scoring with a 10-yard touchdown run.
The Wildcat defense had a strong showing, allowing just three first downs and no scores
on the day. Bryan Bandow caused a fumble that was recovered by Andrew Frump. Gage
Huston recorded an interception late in the game.
