10/10/17 - BMS volleyball @ CNE
The Blanchester 7th grade volleyball team beat CNE in 3 sets. The girls struggled early on losing the first set 12-25. They gained momentum the second game winning 25-22 and didn't stop, winning the third game 25-21. Josie Wilson, Emma Falgner and Mia Torres came up with some perfect passes in the back row to set the tone. Sarah Pell led the team with 7 service points, 5 of which were aces. Summer Schutte, Ainsley Whitaker and Makayla Lanham each had 6 service points. Hailey Mulvihill and Bekah Davenport each had 3 service points. Hailey had 1 kill. Emma Falgner also chipped in 2 clutch service points. The team ends their regular season league play 7-6. -Coach Mulvihill

For the second time this season, Blanchester's 8th grade volleyball team swept Goshen in two sets: 29-27, 25-23. Leading the Wildcats in points was Madison Creager with 7 aces, 4 kills, and 1 Block. Setter Taylor Combs contributed 3 assists, 4 aces, and 1 kill. Rianna Mueller tacked on 2 aces, Makenna Maddix 1 ace and 3 blocks, Brooklyn Bockstiegel 2 kills and 3 blocks, and Taylynn Barr 1 ace and 2 blocks.

Blanchester's 8th grade team was victorious in an intense match with Waynesville last night in 3 sets: 17-25, 25-23, and 28-26. Leading in points were Madison Creager with 6 aces, 5 kills, and 1 block, and Taylor Combs who had 4 aces, 4 assists, and 3 kills. Taylynn Barr contributed 1 ace, 3 assists, and 1 kill. Combs also contributed 6 aces and two kills and Barr had 2 kills and 2 aces. Madison Creager had 7 aces, 1 kill, and 1 block. Up at the net, Makenna Maddix had two kills and an impressive 6 blocks. The Blanchester Ladycats 7th grade team lost to the East Clinton Astros in the volley for the cure match Tuesday evening. The Astros did a great job bringing the two teams, and the community together to raise money and awareness for ovarian cancer. Summer Schutte led the team with 5 service points, 3 of which were aces. Hailey Mulvihill, Ainsley Whitaker, Bekah Davenport and Makayla Lanham each had 2 service points. Makayla also had 1 kill.

Blanchester 7th grade ladycats won against CNE Tuesday night 25-17 & 25- 23. Hailey Mulvihill and Ainsley Whitaker led the team with 8 service points 2 aces and 1 kill each.
Emma Falgner also had 4 aces, Sarah Pell had 2 aces and 1 kill. Summer Schutte, Makayla Lanham and Bekah Davenport each had 1 ace. Blanchester Middle School's 8th grade volleyball team took down Goshen Thursday evening in two games. Brooklyn Bockstiegel led the team in serving with 5 aces and Rianna Mueller with 4 aces. Madison Creager contributed 6 points, with 2 kills, 2 aces, and 2 blocks. In the back row, Bockstiegel, Mueller, and Creager, along with Emma Winemiller, held Goshen under 5 consecutive points served. In the front row, Makenna Maddix, Sam Naylor, Autumn Medley, and Lacie Tedrick had a combined 7 points. Naylor with 1 kill. Maddix and Medley each with 2 blocks and 1 kill.
