Four Wildcats survive to wrestle day two at districts.
Torres and Stubbs season's come to an end. Both young men had good seasons after taking one year off. Both return with promising future.

2/24/18 - Sectional Wrestling tournament hosted by Blanchester High school
The young Wildcat Wrestlers finished 2nd overall in the 25 team SW sectional tournament. Five wrestlers advance to the district tournament next weekend at Troy's Hobart Arena. Top four finish at districts advances you to the STATE tournament.
Steven Latchford was the SECTIONAL CHAMPION in the 182 pound weight class. Steven beat the #1 seed in the championship finals Sat afternoon.
Johnny Schirmer was the sectional runner up.
Clayton Schirmer, Ramiro Torres, and Christian Stubbs all won their final match of the day to place 3rd.

Competing against 6 of the top 10 teams in the Cincy area, our Wildcats placed 2nd in the National Division. The Wildcats had 3 placers in this tough tournament.
Johnny Schirmer placed 2nd in the 132 weight class.
Clayton Schimer placed 2nd in the 152 weight class.
Colt Conover placed 3rd in the 160 weight class.

Wildcats beat Brookville in the Regional Semifinals 37-36* Tiebreak criteria most pins Lost to Bethel Tate 45-30 Each match the Wildcats started in a 12-0 deficit due to forfeiting two weight classes. They were able to overcome this obstacle in the first round. They were not able to in the second match against the #2 team in the Cincinnati area. Our wrestlers finish Regional Runners up. Ou #3 ranked Wildcats battled the #8 and #2 teams in the Cincy area last night.

The 47th Madeira Invitational was cancelled Saturday due to a power failure. C Schirmer, Conover, and Peters were in the championship semifinals. All other wrestlers were still in the consolation rounds. The team was in 6th place out of 24 teams at the time of the cancellation.

The Wrestling team was crowned CHAMPIONS on Saturday. The won 7 straight matches to earn the title. James Peters was named Most Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament.
