9/29/16 - HSVB
The Ladycats beat Felicity tonight 25-13, 25-11 and 25-14. Tonight was our Volley for the Cure game. It's easy when you do events like this to get distracted and play sloppy but the girls did opposite of that. They came out strong and and they finished strong. Didn't let up at all. Even the girls that came off the bench, went out and got their job done. I'm very proud of how everyone played tonight. -Coach Weisflock Shelbie Rose had 9 service points, 20 assists and one kill. Shayla Sicurella had 12 service points and two kills. Morgan Oberle had 6 kills and 3 blocks. Ally Davis had 17 service points and four perfect passes. Asia Baldwin had 10 service points, 15 kills and one block. Cheyenne Brown had 3 service points, 3 kills and one block. Stephanie Gerlach had 7 perfect passes and 16 service points. Morgan Deless had one assist and one kill. Serenity Batterson had one perfect pass. Becca Elliot had two service points Holly Scott had 3 assists. Audrey Heitzman had two service points and one block. Mandy Gerlach had one perfect pass. 
9/22/16 - HSVB vs. Batavia
The Ladycats beat Batavia in a close 5 game match. 25-21, 24-26, 20-25, 25-16 and 15-8 The girls played very good tonight. They worked together as a team and played how I know that they can play. It was a great team effort tonight. The Ladycats beat Bethel Tate in three games tonight. 25-17, 25-12 and 25-17. The girls came out strong and didn't let up. Every girl contributed something tonight. All 13 girls I have on the varsity roster helped with the win tonight. Shelbie Rose had 24 service points, 8 assists and 5 digs. Shayla Sicurella had 11 service points, 2 kills and 3 digs. Blanchester Ladycats beat Fayettville in four games. 25-17, 22-25, 25-18 and 25-22 A good win for the girls. Fayettville has good program and its always a good game when we play them. Morgan Oberle had a big night on the net. She finished with 12 kills and 11 blocks. The Ladycats brought home the win tonight against Felicity in 3 games. 25-12,25-15 and 25-9. The girls started strong and finished strong. In the last couple games we have either started strong and ended weak or started weak and finished strong. Tonight we did both. The girls didn't let up at all. Shelbie Rose had 23 service points and 12 assists. Shayla Sicurella had 3 digs,14 service points and 3 kills Morgan Oberle had 12 service points, 7 kills and 2 blocks Ally Davis had 2 digs, 7 service points and 2 blocks Asia Baldwin had 2 digs,7 service points and 4 kills Cheyenne Brown had 6 service points, one kill and one block Stephanie Gerlach had 6 digs and 8 perfect passes. After a slow start the Ladycats were able to pull off a win in 5 games against East Clinton on Saturday. 17-25, 21-25, 25-16, 25-14 and 15-13 Shelbie Rose had 19 assists, 9 digs, 5 perfect passes and 21 service points Shayla Sicurella had one kill, 7 digs, 8 perfect passes, 17 service points and 3 aces Morgan Oberle had 7 kills, 2 blocks, 14 service points and 3 aces Ally Davis- 3 kills, 2 digs, 6 perfect passes, 14 service points and 4 aces. Asia Baldwin has 12 kills, one block, 14 digs and 9 service points Cheyenne Brown had 2 kills, one block, 2 digs and 4 service points Stephanie Gerlach had 12 digs, 15 perfect passes, 7 service points and 3 aces. When you get down 0 games to 2 it's easy to give up and not try. But the girls did opposite than that, they fought hard and won three games in a row to pull out the win. Blanchester Ladycats Varsity Volleyball team picked up a very exciting season opener win over the Lynchburg Lady Mustangs. 25-19 21-25 25-19 26-24 Shelbie Rose had 18 service points,one ace, two digs, one perfect pass, 23 assist and two kills Shayla Sicurella had 17 service points,three kills and six digs Morgan Oberle had 13 service points, one ace, one dig, seven kills and 6 blocks Ally Davis had 12 services points,one ace, two digs, two perfect passes, and three kills Asia Baldwin had 11 service points, three digs, five perfect passes, ten kills and two blocks Cheyenne Brown had four service points, two aces, two digs, one kill and two blocks Stephanie Gerlach had six service points, seven digs and 22 perfect passes. Very exciting close match. We got ourselves into a couple holes that we had to dig out of. The girls didn't give up at all. In the fourth game we were down 1-8 at one point and fought our way out of it. Asia Baldwin had a very good offensive game with 10 kills. Defensively Stephanie Gerlach had an great game coming up with 7 digs and 22 perfect passes. It was a great start to the season. -Coach Weisflock |
