The Ladycats continued their strong season by placing 2nd at New Richmond. Paced by Savannah Rhodes, the girls had 5 runners place in the top 25 out of the 88 girls who ran. Story from the News Journal Blanchester girls cross country team finished second Saturday at the Bethel-Tate XC Invitational. Savannah Rhodes led the girls by finishing seventh overall in 22:30.44. Blanchester had four runners finish in the top 20. For the BHS boys, Hunter Browning was 14th overall in 18:52.85. The cross country team had another successful meet on Saturday. Kenzie Kratzer had an amazing run, improving her time by almost 4 minutes. She ran a 15:58. The boys brought home their second plaque of the year, placing 2nd out of 12 schools. Their times were as follow: Seth Akers 14:39 Jacob Haun: 13:26 Taylor Cochran: 13:25 Jacob Hamm: 13:04 Getting 17th place out of 90 was Brian Miller with a time of 12:55. 11th place was Carter Stevens with a time of 12:23 Placing 5th place for the wildcats was Brett Bandow with a time of 11:56. Middle school - The cross country team had a very successful night yesterday at the Monroe invitational. Kenzie Kratzer had a very impressive run for the girls, placing 19th overall. The boys placed 2nd, bringing a piece of hardware home on the first meet. Scoring for the boys were Matthew Holland 15:35 Taylor Cochran 14:56 Carter Stevens 14:52 Nolan Gray 14:37 Finishing 10th place overall, and receiving a medal was Brett Bandow with a time of 14:11 Other impressive runs from Brian Miller, Jacob Haun, and Seth Akers.
