10/15/15 - MSFB
The 7th grade football team completed their season with a 16-8 win over Fayetteville. Brayden Sipple opened the scoring with a 35 yard TD run on the Wildcats first possession. Sipple threw to Brody Rice for the conversion and an 8-0 lead. After Fayetteville responded with a TD and conversion of their own, neither team would score again until late in the 4th quarter. With just under 4 minutes remaining, Sipple's 37 yard pass to Rice set the Wildcats up at the 1 yard line. Two plays later Blake Richard would go in for the winning score. Sipple threw to Rice for the conversion and the defense held off the Rockets to give the Wildcats the victory. On defense Richard led the charge with 16 tackles. Also having strong defensive games were Gage Huston (13 tackles), Brady Phillips (11 tackles), Kyle Hopkins (9 tackles), Gabe Peters (8 tackles) and Tre Mowry (6 tackles). The Wildcats finish their season at 7-1.

On Wednesday, the 8th grade football team defeated Williamsburg 28-14. James Peters had another huge game, rushing for 290 yards and 2 TDs. Peters finished the season with 1488 yards rushing. Kadin Berwanger had 101 yards of total offense and a TD. Nate Bates also scored a TD. On defense the Wildcats were led by Jesse Wright with 10 tackles. Berwanger had 5 tackles and 2 interceptions. TJ Monhollen had an interception and Thomas Dugger recovered a fumble. Gage Daniels had 5 tackles. The team finishes with a 6-1-1 record.

The offensive line (Orin Potts, Mason Rector, Gabe Napier, Calob Manor, Briant St. John, Thomas Dugger, Payton West) overpowered the Bulldogs as the Cats ran for nearly 400 yards. Most of that came from James Peters (309 yards, 3 TDs, 2 conversions) who went over 1,000 yards rushing for the season. Kadin Berwanger also had a rushing TD. Brody Rice did a little bit of everything, catching two TD's and two conversions (all thrown by Brayden Sipple), throwing for a conversion score, accumulating 6 tackles, intercepting a pass and forcing a fumble. Colt Conover ran for 118 yards and 2 TD's, caught Rice's conversion pass, had 6 tackles and forced a fumble. Sipple had 104 yards passing, 42 yards rushing and 3 total TD's. Blake Richard had a rushing TD, a team leading 7 tackles and an interception. Gabe Peters had 6 tackles. Brady Phillips recorded 2.5 sacks.

Brody Rice was Sipple's main target, catching five passes for 92 yards and a touchdown. Trenton Czaika caught two touchdowns, including an acrobat juggling catch of a ball that was tipped into the air by a defender. Blake Richard and Kyle Hopkins caught the other TD's. Sipple also ran for a 35 yard score. Colt Conover scored on two conversion runs. On defense, Hopkins led the team in tackles with 9. Gage Huston, Tre Mowry and Richard each had 5 tackles. James Peters (111 yards, 2 TD) and Tanner Creager (105 yards, 1 TD) both eclipsed the century mark rushing as the 8th grade football team defeated New Richmond 28-14. The Wildcats jumped out to a 22-0 lead before New Richmond closed to within a touchdown with 4 minutes remaining, but Creager's 65 yard scoring dash on the next play put the game out of reach. Christian Stubbs added 54 yards on the ground and was the leading receiver with 31 yards. Jay Ashcraft caught a 21 yard TD pass from Creager. Creager also ran in a conversion and threw a conversion pass to Nate Bates. On the defensive side of the ball, Stubbs led with 6 tackles. Creager, Gage Daniels and Kadin Berwanger each had 4 tackles. Brayden Sipple threw for 126 yards and 2 TDs and ran for another score to lead the offense. Also contributing on offense were Colt Conover (2 rush TD's), Blake Richard (100 total yards, 2 TDs, 2 conversions), Kyle Hopkins (45 yards rushing), Gabe Peters (rush TD, 2 conversions), Trenton Czaika (receiving TD, conversion), and Brody Rice (conversion run). On defense was led by Gage Huston (7 tackles, 2 sacks) and Brady Phillips (3 sacks, 2 forced fumbles). Tre Mowry and Bryce Highlander each had an interception. With the win the team improves to 3-1 on the season.
