9/24/15 - HSVB
Blanchester lost to Batavia in 5 sets. The scores were:

We played a great match against Batavia. Asia Baldwin had another good game, leading the team with 11 kills and 10 blocks at the net. She only had 1 kill error. Rachael Doyle also blocked well with 7. Sarah Burton and Hannah Wisniewski each had 5 as well. All in all our game at the net went pretty well. Defensively we had to deal with a very good middle hitter. Allie Evans and Kayla Dugger had good defensive games, digging up 18 and 16 hits respectively. They also combined for 52 perfect passes to the setter. We played a very competitive 5 set match, but came up short in the fifth.-Coach Doughman

Blanchester beat Waynesville in three sets. The scores were:

The Ladycats played a great game against a very good Waynesville team. Everyone played very well together, our offense and defense were both played exceptionally well. Offensively, the team combined for 23 kills and only 4 kill errors. Kayla Dugger led with 8 kills and zero kill errors. Asia Baldwin also had a good game, hitting the ball like we’d never seen her do before. Baldwin led the team with 4 blocks on the net. Defensively, Allie Evans and Stephanie Gerlach played impressive defense. They combined for 29 digs, 10 perfect passes to the setter, and only 2 passing errors. - Coach Doughman

We played another good match tonight. Once again, everyone got in the game and helped out with the win. Our defense was great, Allie Evans led with 21 perfect passes to the setter. Shayla Sicurella lead offense with 6 kills, Sarah Burton, Asia Baldwin, and Hannah Wisniewski each had 5. Baldwin and Burton also lead with 2 blocks each.

9/9/15 - HSVB
Blanchester beat Fayetteville in 4 sets. The scores were:
20-25, 25-16, 26-24, 25-13

We started out very slow in the first set of the match. We were beating ourselves for the majority of the set. We ended up coming together and cleaning up our game, but it ended up being too late. Our mistakes and poor choices caused us to lose the first one. We came back ready to play the second set from the beginning. We gathered momentum and took three in a row. On the net, Sarah Burton had a great game. She led the team with 15 kills and 3 blocks. As a team, we had 37 kills with only 11 kill errors, most of those errors being in that first set. Defensively, Allie Evans led with 19 digs and 38 perfect passes. Kayla Dugger followed up with 7 digs and 16 perfect passes. Shayla Sicurella had a good serving game leading with 12 service points, 2 aces, and no service errors. -Coach Doughman

We played a tough match against a very good team. Asia Baldwin had another good blocking game with 7 blocks. Allie Evans played well defensively wit 8 good digs. All in all we gave a good effort, it just wasn't enough this time.

Blanchester beat Leesburg Fairfield in three sets. The scores were

The Ladycats played well holding Fairfield to a low score. The game plan was to attack the ball and they did just that with 24 kill and only 6 kill errors as a team. Defense also held the team together with 37 perfect passes recorded and only 7 bad passes. The team worked hard to prepare for a tough game against CNE Thursday night.

Blanchester lost to CNE in 5 sets. the scores were:

We played a great match tonight against the Rockets. CNE’s offense is known to be tough, but we matched up with their hitters blocking them 18 times throughout the game. Asia Baldwin led with 8 blocks. Allie Evans also helped out the defense with 5 digs and 23 perfect passes. Offensive was tough for us against CNE’s defense. As a team we had 23 kills with only 4 kill errors. For the most part, CNE’s defense was there. Sarah Burton led with 8 kills. Kayla Dugger and Hannah Wisniewski both had smart plays pushing or tipping the ball in place.
