5/16/13Fugett to play in tennis district second straight year
MASON - For the second consecutive year, Blanchester senior Daniel Fugett has qualified for the Division II district tennis tournament. BHS coach Scott Shepard believes Fugett is the first Blanchester tennis player to qualify for the district tournament two straight years. Fugett, the No. 4 seed in the tournament, will face the No. 1 seed, Henize of Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy in the semifinal round Saturday at MHS. "In addition to Daniel, in my 14 years (as head coach), only two doubles teams have qualified for districts," Shepard said. "So his back to back district qualifying seasons is quite an achievement." Fugett defeated Nick Ratliff of Clinton-Massie, Bell of Fenwick and Anderson of Finneytown en route to his matchup with the No. 1 seed. 5/10/13BHS tennis earns share of SBCN crown
