With a couple backups in and some getting over being sick, I thought we performed well. Our underclassmen stepped up (Hunter beating a kid who he has never beaten before, Carson stepping up beating varsity after he was jv the week before, Cody moving up two weight classes to wrestle, and Dylan being jv all year had to wrestle varsity). We didn't give up many bonus points in the Massie dual which helped us win. We wrestled focus to avenge our earlier loss and it showed and gave up two forfeits. When we wrestled Miami Trace, we needed to not give up bonus points. We gave up to many pins. Even with giving up all those bonus points, we only lost by 7 which is one pin going for us instead of them to beat them. Wrestling good/great teams magnifies our weaknesses and we can see on video and work on to improve in our next meet (Thursday). I think we are coming along well. Our conditioning is right where it should be and we just need some guys to get better overcoming their sickness and/or injuries. We have some technique we need to polish and get better with. We have a couple weeks to work on it until the postseason. I think we will be as full strength as possible for our league tournament next Saturday the 22nd. -Coach Shafer

Our Wildcats are the #5 seed at the Miami Trace Regional Dual meet site. Wrestlers will face Unioto in the first round, 9:00am on Feb 8.
