The 8th grade Ladycats basketball team had a great team effort and big win over Georgetown winning 42-8.

The 8th grade boys basketball team (1-2 record) picked up their first win of the season with a 33-28 victory over Fayetteville. Zach West led the Wildcats with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals. Also scoring for the Cats were Kyle Garrett (8 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals), Levi Montgomery (6 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists), Dylan Creager (5 points, 4 steals), Jayden Purdy (3 points), and Dustin Trace (1 point, 6 rebounds, 5 steals).

Ainsley Whitaker had 4 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. Hailey Mulvihill had 3 points, 11 rebounds and 2 steals. Madi Tipton had 2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. Sarah Pell also pulled down 2 rebounds, while Destiny Blankenbeckler had 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. I was very pleased with the girls' overall effort. They played an aggressive game, only getting behind late in the game while in foul trouble.

The 8th grade Ladycats basketball team lost their season opener in a hard fought game to Western Brown 24-28. Olivia Potts led the scoring with 8 points. Ainsley Whitaker had 6 points, 4 steals and pulled down 13 rebounds. Hailey Mulvihill had 4 points and 11 rebounds. Madi Tipton and Kaidyn Burress each had 2 points. Kaidyn also had 4 steals. Josie Wilson and Sarah Pell each chipped in 1 point. Destiny Blankenbeckler also contributed to the team with her tough defense shutting down Western Brown's key player to 2 points. -Coach Mulvihill
