The 7th grade boys basketball team finished their season last night losing to the undefeated Mount Orab Broncos 48 to 30. The 7th grade wildcats finished with a record of 12-6. Leading the team was Brayden Sipple with 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 steals. Bryce Highlander, Hunter Hartmann, Brian Miller, Carter Stevens and Brody Rice all added 2 points each. Rice also pulled down 3 rebounds, while Kyle Hopkins has 4 boards and 2 steals. Carter Stevens had 3 boards and an assist, and Nolan Gray added an assist. Coach Greve, Coach Ballinger and the boys basketball team would like to thank all the faculty and staff who came out and supported them last night!!! -Coach Greve

The 7th grade boys basketball team advanced to the SBC North tournament finals Saturday by defeating CNE 47-32. Leading the wildcat attack was Brayden Sipple with another double-double including 31 points, 11 rebounds, 6 steals & 4 blocks. Also scoring for the cats were Bryce Highlander & Colton Wilson with 4 each, Logan Heitzman & Brody Rice with 3 each, and Hunter Hartmann with 2. Heitzman also had 5 rebounds, while Rice and Brian Miller had 4 rebounds a piece. Czaika also had 3 steals. The boys play in the championship game Monday evening at 5:00 @ Goshen Middle School against the undefeated Mt. Orab Broncos. -Coach Greve

The Blanchester seventh grade boys basketball team defeated Amelia 51-40 Thursday night in the tournament opener.
The young Wildcats will face Clermont Northeastern 11:15 a.m. Saturday in the semifinal round in Goshen.
Brayden Sipple led Blanchester with 33 points, nine rebounds, six steals, four assists and two blocked shots.
Brody Rice scored 14 points and hauled in eight rebounds. Rice and Brian Miller had two assists each. Hunter Hartmann had four points and three rebounds. Hartmann, Bryce Highlander and Trenton Czaika had two steals each.-Coach Greve

The Blanchester 7th grade Ladycats ended their season Wednesday night in the first round of tournaments. The Ladycats lost to Mt. Orab, 28-18. The star player for tonight's game, both offensively and defensively, was Lana Roy. Roy had 7 points, 2 offensive rebounds, 3 defensive rebounds, 3 steals, and 1 block. Casey Kingsland was the second leading scorer with 5 points, along with 1 offensive rebound, 1 defensive rebound, and 1 steal. Adding in 2 points each were Caili Baumann, Brinli Crosley, and Noelani Tangonan. Baumann also assisted the team with 2 offensive rebounds and 4 defensive rebounds. Crosley had 2 offensive rebounds, 3 defensive rebounds, and 1 block. Tangonan added 2 defensive rebounds as well. Maddie Wells had 5 offensive rebounds and 3 defensive rebounds while Becca Kratzer had 2 offensive rebounds and 1 defensive rebound. Maddie Pohlman also took one steal for Blan.

The 8th grade boys fell to Goshen 37-24. Scoring for the Wildcats were Hunter Bare (9 points, 5 rebounds, 7 blocks), Jay Ashcraft (8 points), Brayden Sipple (4 points), Jasper Damewood (2 points) and Tanner Creager (1 point). Braden Roy had 4 rebounds and 3 assists. The team drops to 6-8 on the season. -Coach Ballinger

The 7th grade boys basketball team defeated Goshen last night 43 to 27 to raise its record 9-5 on season. Leading the Wildcats, with a great second half, was Brayden Sipple with 21 points, 14 rebounds, 5 blocks, 3 assists and 2 steals. Brody Rice had 8 points & 6 rebounds, Bryce Highlander had 6 points and great hustle, & Trenton Czaika added 4 points. Rounding out the scoring was Hunter Hartmann & Brian Miller with 2 each. Also contributing to the win was Logan Heitzman with 4 rebounds and 2 assists, Carter Stevens with 3 boards, Colton Wilson with 2 steals & Matt Holland added a steal. -Coach Greve

The Blanchester 7th grade Ladycats lost an intense game to Mt. Orab Monday night at home, 22-23. Brinli Crosley was the player of the night for the wildcats, doing well both offensively and defensively. Crosley had 8 points, 6 offensive rebounds, 7 defensive rebounds, 3 steals, and 1 block. Casey Kingsland also played well offensively with 6 points, 2 offensive rebounds, and 4 defensive rebounds. Maddie Pohlman had 4 points, 1 defensive rebound, and 1 steal. Caili Baumann had 2 points, 4 defensive rebounds, and 1 steal. Lana Roy and Maddie Wells each knocked in a free throw to bump up the wildcats. In addition, Roy had 1 offensive rebound, 1 defensive rebound, and 4 steals, while Wells had 4 offensive rebounds and 1 defensive rebound. The wildcats are on the road to Goshen Wedneaday night to take on the Lady Warriors. -Coach Cook

The 8th grade boys basketball team lost to Mt. Orab 39-20. Scoring for the Wildcats were Kaleb Goodin (8 points), Tanner Creager (4 points), Hunter Bare (4 points, 7 rebounds), Avin Whitaker (2 points, 5 assists) and Braden Roy (2 points). The team falls to 6-7 on the season.-Coach Ballinger

The 7th grade boys basketball team defeated Bethel Tate last night 36-24 raising their record to 8-3. Leading the wildcats was Brayden Sipple with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocks. Brody Rice added 4 points and 9 rebounds, Logan Heitzman & Kyle Hopkins each had 4 points. Bryce Highlander & Nolan Gray both added 3 points each, while Hunter Hartmann tossed in 2. Trenton Czaika lead the team in assists with 4. The boys play CNE in a big divisional game Wed @ home.-Coach Greve

The 8th grade boys basketball team shot a season high 59% from the field (19-32) as they defeated Bethel-Tate 46-34. Kaleb Goodin led all scorers with 16 points and pulled down 5 rebounds. Hunter Bare scored 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Tanner Creager added 9 points, 9 assists and 4 rebounds. Also scoring for the Wildcats were Avin Whitaker (5 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists), Cameron Skidmore (2 points), Jay Ashcraft (2 points, 5 rebounds, 3 blocks), and Braden Roy (2 points). The Blanchester 7th grade Ladycats lost on the road to the Bethel-Tate Tigers Monday night 20-13. The leading scorer for the ladycats was point guard, Casey Kingsland, with 6 points. Kingsland also collected 2 offensive rebounds, 3 defensive rebounds, and 2 steals. Lana Roy had 2 points, 5 offensive rebounds, 1 defensive rebound, and 1 steal. Brinli Crosley also had 2 points, along with 3 offensive rebounds, 2 defensive rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block. Maddie Wells scored 2 points and had 1 offensive rebound and 3 defensive rebounds. The 7th Grade Ladycats Basketball team dominated their home court Thursday night defeating the Batavia Lady Bulldogs 50-7. The Ladycats were led by Brinli Crosley who scored 20 point, had 8 offensive rebounds, 1 defensive rebound and 1 steal. Maddie Wells had 11 points, 3 offensive rebounds and 1 steal, Lana Roy had 10 points, 5 steals, and 2 defensive rebounds, Maddie Pohlman had 6 points, 2 offensive rebounds and 1 steal, Casey Kingsland had 2 points, 4 defensive rebounds, 1 offensive rebound and 2 steals, Caili Baumann had 1 point and 1 defensive rebound, Becca Kratzer had 1 defensive rebound and 2 steals and Shi Massey had 1 rebound and 1 steal. The 8th grade girls basketball team lost to Batavia Thursday evening. Lilly Brown had 4 points and 3 rebounds , Holly Scott had 2 points,and Maddie Fields had 2 points.-Caoch Crosley

The 8th grade boys basketball team pressured Batavia into 24 turnovers and cruised to a 50-35 victory. Tanner Creager led the way filling every column in the stat sheet, with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks. Kaleb Goodin played a strong game, with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. Also scoring for the Wildcats were Hunter Bare (8 points), Chantz Dalton (4 points), Cameron Skidmore (3 points), Jay Ashcraft (3 points) and Braden Roy (2 points). Jasper Damewood and Avin Whitaker contributed by playing excellent team defense. Whitaker also had 4 rebounds and 2 assists. With the win, the team evens it's record at 5-5.-Coach Ballinger

The 7th grade boys basketball team raised their record last night to 7-3 by defeating the Batavia Bulldogs 37-25. Leading the wildcats, with a monster game, was Brody Rice with a double-double, including 12 points and 14 rebounds. Trenton Czaika added 6 points, Brayden Sipple had 5 points, 5 assists and 3 blocks. Rounding out the rest of the scoring were Carter Stevens and Logan Heitzman with 4 each, while Matt Holland, Hunter Hartmann, and Kyle Hopkins all added 2. The Blanchester 7th Grade Ladycats Basketball team lost 36-23 at home Tuesday night against the Georgetown Lady GMen. Leading scorers for Blanchester were Lana Roy and Casey Kingsland with 8 points each (Roy with 4 rebounds and 2 steals and Kingsland with 1 rebound and 1 steal). Maddie Wells had 3 points and 4 rebounds, Brinli Crosley had 2 points, 6 rebounds and 1 steal, Caili Baumann had 2 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals and Jasmine Collins had 2 rebounds. The 7th grade boys defeated Georgetown last night 57-41 by shooting 61% from the floor and out rebounding the G-Men 32-13. Brayden Sipple lead all scorers with 29 points. Brayden also had 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 blocks. Trenton Czaika had 10 points, Brody Rice added 8 points and 7 rebounds. Logan Heitzman had 5 points, Colton Wilson 3 & Brian Miller 2. The 8th grade boys basketball defeated Georgetown 47-34. Tanner Creager (14 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals) had a huge all around game to lead the Wildcats. Kaleb Goodin (14 points, 4 rebounds) and Hunter Bare (10 points, 6 rebounds, 6 blocks) also hit double figures. Also scoring were Avin Whitaker (4 points, 4 rebounds), Braden Roy (3 points, 7 steals) and Jay Ashcraft (2 points). With the victory the team improves its record to 4-5.-Coach Ballinger

OVERTIME WINNERS! The 7th grade boys basketball team won another game in overtime last night by defeating the Amelia Barons 36-33. Leading the wildcat attack was Brayden Sipple with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Brody Rice had 6 rebounds, and added 4 points, including the game tying basket, assisted by Sipple, with 5 seconds to go, sending the game into overtime. Rounding out the scoring with 2 points each were Bryce Highlander, Colton Wilson, Hunter Hartmann, Trenton Czaika and Brian Miller. Logan Heitzman also pulled down 5 rebounds. The Blanchester 7th grade Ladycats basketball team pulled off a very close victory Monday night at home against the Norwood Indians with a final score of 29-28. Brinli Crosley dominated the court with her first double-double with 16 points, 11 offensive rebounds, 2 defensive rebounds and 2 blocks. Casey Kingsland also played an amazing game with 6 points, 5 offensive rebounds, 1 defensive rebound and 1 block. Maddie Wells contributed 3 points, 2 offensive rebounds and 1 defensive rebounds while Noelani Tangonan and Caili Baumann added 2 points each (Tangonan with 3 offensive rebounds and 1 defensive rebound and Baumann with 2 offense rebounds, 3 defensive rebounds and 1 block). Leading the wildcats in scoring was Brayden Sipple with 17 points, Trenton Czaika added 7, while Brody Rice and Brian Miller added 2 points each. Rice pulled down a team high 11 rebounds, while Sipple had 7 and Czaika 5. Sipple also had 4 steals and 4 blocks. The loss drops the 7th grade wildcats to 4-3. Scoring 6 points each were Brinli Crosley, Casey Kingsland, Noelani Tangonan and Maddie Wells for a final score of 24-17. Lana Roy played an aggressive game with 9 steals, 5 offensive rebounds and 3 defense rebounds while Maddie Wells had 5 offensive rebounds. -

The 7th grade boys basketball team raised its record last night to 4-2 with a victory over the Goshen Warriors 33 to 31 in overtime. Leading the team with a double double was Brayden Sipple scoring 20 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Logan Heitzman had 5 points and 5 boards. The 7th grade boys basketball team were defeated last night by the 6-0 Mt. Orab Broncos 48-27, dropping their record to 3-2 on the season. Brayden Sipple lead the team with 13 points, and collected a team high 5 rebounds and 8 blocks. Trenton Czaika added 5 points, Colton Wilson added 4, Bryce Highlander 2, Nolan Gray 2, and Matt Holland added a free throw. Sipple, Highlander, and Czaika all had 3 steals each. Down 5 with only 12 seconds left a spirited comeback, punctuated by Tanner Creager's three pointer at the buzzer, sent the game to overtime. The 7th grade boys basketball team raised it's record last night to 3-1 by defeating Norwood 48-38. Leading the team with a double-double was Brayden Sipple scoring 26 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Jason Czaika added 10 points, Brody Rice netted 8 points and had 7 rebounds, while Hunter Hartmann & Kyle Hopkins added 2 points each. Bryan Miller had a good floor game dishing out 6 assists.-Coach Greve

The seventh grade Ladycats basketball team came up short Thursday evening after battling hard against the Norwood Indians. Brinli Crosley played both outstanding defense and offense leading the Ladycats with 5 points and 10 rebounds. Casey Kingsland and Maddie Wells each scored 4 points while Noelani Tangonan added two. The game finished with the Ladycats scoring 15 and the Indians 22. -Coach Cook

The 8th grade boys basketball team shot 44% from the floor (18-41) and 70% from the line (14-20) in a 50-35 victory over Norwood. Tanner Creager had a big game with 18 points, 7 assists and 7 steals. Hunter Bare scored 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Avin Whitaker added 9 points and 3 assists. Kaleb Goodin scored 6 points and pulled down 5 boards. Jay Ashcraft scored 4 points. The 8th grade boys basketball team broke a halftime tie with a 16-4 run to start the 3rd quarter and then held on to defeat Clermont Northeastern 47-43. Tanner Creager led the way with 18 points and 9 steals. Hunter Bare scored a season high 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Avin Whitaker played a solid all around game, with 6 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Kaleb Goodin scored 3 points and had 5 rebounds. Cameron Skidmore and Jay Ashcraft each scored a basket. Jasper Damewood and Braden Roy each hit a free throw. The Wildcats are now 2-1.-Coach Ballinger

The 7th boy's basketball team suffered it's first loss of the season last night 39-37 at CNE. After getting off to a slow start the wildcats clawed their way back into the game. Leading all scorers was Brayden Sipple with 24 points, Trenton Czaika tossed in 11 and Brody Rice added 2. Czaika also pulled down 8 rebounds will Kyle Hopkins had 7. Sipple also lead the team in steal with 5. The boys host Norwood tonight in the high school gym at 4:30. -Coach Greve

The seventh grade Blanchester Ladycats basketball ball team lost 20 - 7 at home Wednesday night to the Clermont Northeastern Rockets. Casey Kingsland played great defense, denying CNE's key player from scoring. Offensively, Kingsland contributed three points while Brinli Crosley and Maddie Wells each scored two. The 8th grade boys evened their record at 1-1 with a 30-25 victory over Batavia. Tanner Creager led the Wildcats to victory with 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 6 steals. Avin Whitaker played a solid game with 6 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Jasper Damewood, Jay Ashcraft, Hunter Bare and Kaleb Goodin each scored 2 points. Cameron Skidmore and Braden Roy each hit a free throw. Goodin and Ashcraft pulled down 6 rebounds. Bare had 5 rebounds and 4 blocks. Roy had 3 assists. -Coach Ballinger

Adding to the scoring were Hunter Hartmann with 6, Trenton Czaika & Nolan Gray with 5 each, Brian Miller & Logan Heitzman both with 4, Bryce Highlander, Carter Stevens, & Brody Rice with 2 each, while Matt Holland & Colton Wilson added a free throw each. Sipple also lead the team with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks while Czaika lead the team with 4 steals. The boys play again next Wednesday at CNE.-Coach Greve

The 7th grade Blanchester Ladycats basketball team got their first win on the road Wednesday night out scoring the Batavia Bulldogs 27-13. Lana Roy was the leading scorer with 6 points while Caili Baumann, Noelani Tangonan and Maddie Wells each added 4 points. Also adding to the score were Brinli Crosley with 3 points, and Casey Kingsland, Becca Kratzer and Maddie Pohlman each with 2 points. Becca Kratzer started the game strong offensively, not letting up, helping to lead the Ladycats to victory. -Coach Cook

The Blanchester 7th grade girls basketball team opened their season at home Monday night with a 29-9 loss to Amelia. Casey Kingsland, Maddie Pohlman, Lana Roy and Noelani Tangonan each contributed two points while Brinli Crosley added one from the free throw line. Maddie Wells played great defensive, keeping Amelia's point guard, Ava Tepe, to four points while adding three rebounds.

The 8th grade boys basketball team lost their opener to Amelia 34-23. Tanner Creager led the way with 12 points and 3 steals. Hunter Bare added 4 points. Cameron Skidmore, Jay Ashcraft and Kaleb Goodin each scored a basket. Avin Whitaker scored a free throw. Ashcraft and Goodin shared the team high in rebounds with 5. Goodin also had 4 blocks.
