Blanchester used a balanced effort to defeat Bethel-Tate, as nine different Wildcats scored.
“We talked before going out,” said Weber. “I’ve got to see smiles on guys’ faces. We’re not going to think about mistakes, and we’re going to find a way to win the game.”

2/3 HSBBKB 3 game sweep!
Blanchester used a torrid start Tuesday night to ensure there would be no repeat of the result from the first meeting with Clermont Northeastern.
Blanchester avenged its earlier 1-point loss to the Rockets by blasting them 76-53 at Blanchester High School.
Blanchester scored the game’s first 10 points. After a 6-point spurt by the Rockets, the Wildcats (6-10) scored 15 in a row to start a 24-3 run that put the game away.
“We were hitting shots,” said BHS head coach Adam Weber. “That’s 3 games in a row where we’ve had a pretty hot hand. It’s helped us get that momentum and carry it over to the defensive end.”
While acknowledging the improvement of his defense throughout the season, Weber believes the best is yet to come.
“The scary thing for our other opponents is I still don’t think (Blan’s defense) is there yet,” said Weber. “The on-ball ball pressure has elevated and we’ve done a much better job help-side.”
“(Heeg) finished the year last year playing some of his best basketball,” said Weber. “He got off a little bit slow … but now I see the old Dakota. When he is in one of these types of grooves, he is one of the most prolific perimeter shooters. He’s playing awesome.”
Heeg finished with 15 points. Alec Richardson had 14 points, 4 steals and 4 rebounds. Blanchester led by as many as 31 points.
